LANGHE D.O.C FAVORITA
It’s a selection of the best grapevine cultivated on vineyards facing west in Castellinaldo d’Alba’s hills. A biotype of Vermentino wine that is currently cultivated in the area around Canale.
Exposure: South - south/east
Grapevine: 100% Favorita.
Soil Type: Calcareous marl characterised by sand and clay.
Vinification: Selection and thinning out of the exceeding bunches, hand harvested in mid- September. Soft pressing of the grapes, must fermentation at controlled temperature (14°-15°C). Bottling at the beginning of the following spring.
Ageing: 4 months in stainless steel tanks and 1 month in bottle.
Tasting Notes: Bright straw yellow with green hues. It has a rich fruit-forward bouquet of “golden” apple, white peach and citrus with memoirs of aromatic herbs. It is fresh with a lingering length and almond finish.
Longevity: 2 years.
Alcohol Content: 12,5% - 13,5%Vol
Serving Temperature: 8°-10°C.
Food Pairings: Cocktails, cold meat starters and fish dishes.
